Betdaq Exchange Closing On 21/10/2026
As per Racing Post – Matchbook has acquired fellow betting exchange Betdaq for an undisclosed sum, it has been revealed. The deal is also understood to include Racecourse Data Technologies, which provides hardware, betting software and technical support to on-course bookmakers and allows them to hedge into the Betdaq exchange.Matchbook said the existing Betdaq service would remain open for trading until October 21 “to allow an orderly transition”, with customer accounts open for withdrawals until November 4.
What does this mean for TBM ? Overtime the number of TBM users who use Betdaq has become smaller and smaller. 99% of our users use Betfair. Therefore from 21/10/2026, the Betdaq option will simply be removed from TBM.
Going forward – I have spoken with Gary from Gruss Betting Assistant who is exploring the option of creating a Gruss Betting Assistant for Matchbook. If Gary is able to do this then TBM will be able to connect to and use Matchbook as an additional option to Betfair.
Backup Option – I have also started work on a standalone version of TBM that connects to the Matchbook API directly without the use of Gruss Betting Assistant.
Timescale – None of these options are something that can be built in a couple of weeks. However I would hope by December there will be an option to use Matchbook with TBM.
